Kailey the Bug Catcher

Yesterday Kailey came running up to me while I was feeding Maddie with wide frantic eyes telling me there was a bug by the stairs. I went over to look, Maddie in arms, and saw one of our regular buggy visitors--a silverfish. Yuck. I told Kailey that I would get it once Maddie was done eating and sat back down on the couch. I watched Kailey walk into the bathroom and pretty soon she came out with a giant wad of toilet paper. When I asked what she was planning on doing with that, she informed me she was going to catch the "fish". I laughed then sat back to observe. She walked right up to the "fish" and leaned down and inspected it for a moment, then brought the wad of toilet paper closer and closer to it. She got about an inch away, screamed, threw the toilet paper in the air and ran away. I ended up eradicating the silverfish myself once I had the chance since I was informed that bugs are too scary for little girls to catch themselves.

Sister Love

Kailey absolutely adores her little sister. She loves to help with baths and diaper changes and is constantly asking to hold her.

Here is the newest addition to our family. Another beautiful baby girl born May 16. She was 7 pounds 8 ounces and 19 and 1/2 inches long.

Easter!

We had a lot of fun at our ward Easter party on Saturday. Kailey had a blast finding eggs and playing with her friends. She also had her first experience with a boy chasing her which she found a little confusing. We told her she'd better get used to it.

On Easter morning Kailey came out of her room and into ours as usual, told us she was going to play in her room, went back and lasted about five minutes or so before she burst out asking if the Easter Bunny had come. We went downstairs and she was super excited to see that he had.

After church we decided to head up to the temple and take some pictures of her in her dress. She really wanted to run around, but finally settled down after a little while and let us take some cute pictures of her.

My favorite. I was disappointed it ended up a little blurry because she kept moving constantly

The Science Center and Rose Garden

Chad and I were delighted to find yet another free form of entertainment in our area last Friday. We found out that the LA Science Center is free (except parking of course) and decided to go try it out. It was actually pretty neat and Kailey had a blast, though it was packed because of spring break.

We went outside after we were done at the museum and discovered the rose gardens. Kailey wouldn't hold still and was running around and around. She would check back to see if we were still following her, laugh, turn around and continue on running.

More Visitors!

We were excited to have Tessie and Brad and their adorable little girls stop by last Tuesday. I took them to our new go to place for free entertainment--the aquarium. Unfortunately, it was almost impossible to get some good pictures of both Laney and Kailey, but I did get a couple where they are at least both looking at me.

Knott's Berry Farm

Over conference weekend we were excited to have Chad's family come visit us. Kailey had a blast with her Nana, Papa, Aunt Jamie and Uncle Chris, and meeting Aunt Jamie's boyfriend Beau. We ended up going to Knott's Berry Farm on Saturday. Unfortunately for me, they have very few rides they let pregnant women go on (I think I rode two), but it was a blast seeing how much fun Kailey was having riding all the rides. She even went on the big log ride twice and still can't stop talking about how neat it was.

This was the strangest ride. It was a little push cart that went on railroad tracks and they had to pump it back and forth to move themselves around the track.
